As the name of the event suggests, one of the main aims of Console Combat is to stimulate some healthy, friendly competition between our guests with a selection of organised contests.
Each of our competitions will be arranged by the organisers of one of our affiliated gaming events. These guys know what it takes to make a contest that is interesting, challenging and most of all fun, so we hope you'll all take part and enjoy them!
All competitions will be FREE to enter and a variety of prizes will be on offer. Click on the logos below for more information and registration for each competition...

It's time to settle those 80's playground arguments once and for all! Which is better - the Speccy or the C64? Or was it the much-maligned Amstrad or even the school favourite, the BBC Micro? Perhaps you preferred consoles and would like to defend the honour of the NES, Master System or Atari 2600? If so then the Battle of the 8-bits is the competition for you! |

The Retrovision team will be holding a competition with an Exclusive New Game created especially for Console Combat! The aim of Markie's Revenge is to keep the Sheepie alive for as long as possible and don't get killed by the green Markie Ming heads! The player with the highest score at the end of the day will win a free ticket to Retrovision 2010 and some beer! |

The organisers of Retro Reunited will be promoting their event by challenging football fans to compete in a World Cup-style elimination tournament with a twist - each round will be played on a different football game on a different system! Prizes will include T-shirts and other gaming goodies. |

The Retro Computer Museum invites you to Run the Arcade Gauntlet by playing one game on a selection each of the Lass's classic Arcade machines in quick succession and recording your score on each. The scores from each machine will then be added up and the player with the highest combined score will be declared the winner... |

It's a Retro Gaming event and it's in a Pub, so we thought we'd take the opportunity to test the mental powers of our guests in a comprehensive Retro Gaming Pub Quiz covering all aspects of the hobby, including picture and music rounds. We'd like you to suggest some questions for us to ask, so if yours get chosen that's at least one you'll get right! |
